The Covenant Is Confirmed: From Exodus 24:3-8
- After the people promised to do everything God says...
- 12 stones are set up—each representing a tribe—for an altar
- Sacrifices are given
- An unexpected old tradition: The blood is sprinkled on the altar/people
- - Symbolizing:
- - - Their acceptance of covenant
- - - How they will keep the covenant, to their death!
- - Read page 6’s paragraph on blood
Seeing God: Exodus 24:9-11
- God allowed several people to see him:
- - Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, & 70 Elders!
- - Nadab & Abihu are Aaron’s sons, fellow priests
- Exodus 24:12-18) Then God calls Moses up Mt. Sinai (Joshua comes)
- - Moses tells people to wait, following Aaron & Hur
- - God reveals His presence as a consuming fire! (See Hebrews 12:29, too)
- - Moses entered this!
- - - How would you respond if Israel?
- - - - Perhaps they were afraid Moses would die?
- - - - Perhaps they were happy he was gone?
- - - - Perhaps they were concerned about who would lead?
- - - - We don't really know...
- -Moses stays 40 days/nights--that's over the month!

Expressing Thankfulness: Students wrote 3 "Thank You" cards as we celebrate Thanksgiving time. :-)
