- Read Genesis 5:21-32
- - 1) Who didn’t die, but was taken by God?
- - - Enoch
- - 2) Who was the oldest man to ever live?
- - - Methuselah
- - 3) What are the names of Noah’s 3 kids?
- - - Shem, Ham, Japeth
- Read Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7 and Isaiah 6:8
- - 4) By what pronoun (e.g. me, them, you, etc…) does God refer to Himself in these verses?
- - - “Us”
- - 5) Why do you think that is? Two reasons from scholars…
- - - Some think it is a relationship to how some kings may use that phrase for themselves as though they were standing in their court and saying to everyone, “Let us go and do this…”
- - - Others think it is a hint to the Trinity—one God, yet referring to Himself in the plural sense, as though there is multiple persons.
