- - The cloud would pick up from one location & go to another; they followed it each time.

The Tabernacle: God tells Moses how to build this
- This tent symbolized God’s holy presence w/His people
- - Holiness increased as you moved further inside it
- - This symbolized that God is totally righteous & separate from our sin
- Tabernacle Parts
- - Holy of Holies: Innermost room w/the Ark of the Covenant
- - - Only the High Priest (that year’s leading priest) could enter this
- - - - Only on the Day of Atonement
- - - - To request God’s forgiveness for Israel
- - - Sacrifice blood was put on the “Mercy Seat”
- - - - This is just above the Ark where God revealed His presence & offered forgiveness
- - Veils: These separated God’s presence from the people
- - Altar of Incense: Incense was burned here
- - - These symbolized our prayers & how God is pleased by them

- Theology:
- - God as totally righteous & separate from our sin
- - God shows us mercy when He forgives us & is with us
- - The person & work of Jesus is foreshadowed in the Tabernacle:
- - - Sacrifice: He offered Himself, cleansing us from all sin (1 Peter 3:18)
- - - Lampstand: He gives light to the world (John 8:12)
- - - Showbread: He provides for all our spiritual needs (John 6:35, 6:51ff)
- - - Incense: He prays (intercedes) to the Father for us (Heb. 7:25)
- - - The Veil: His broken body brought us to God’s presence (Heb. 10:20)
- Anthropology:
