Journal 6-3: Read Leviticus 26:3-12
- Write down the different areas Israel would be blessed for following God

- - Write down the different ways Israel would be punished for disobedience!

Sabbath Year & Year of Jubilee: Leviticus 25
- Sabbath Year: Every 7 years…
- - 25:4) No sowing or pruning
- - Why?
- - - This gave rest for fields & vineyards, thus they would be more productive in future years!
- - - This also gave rest for the farmers
- The Year of Jubilee: Every 7 Sabbath Years
- - 25:23) All land returned to its original owner!
- - 25:40-42) Israelites slaves freed!
- - Why?
- - - Prohibited oppressing each other
- - - Gave every one a chance for a ‘New Start’
- - - Discouraged excessive buildup of wealth

Leviticus 26: The Blessings!
- 26:3-12) Rewards for Obedience
- Blessings for Rain, Crops, Peace, Battles, Family Size!
- Vv11-12) But most importantly, they would be blessed by the very presence of God!

Leviticus 26: The Curses!
- 26:14-46) Punishments for Disobedience
- - God’s face turns against them
- - Things get progressively worse w/no repentance
- - Curses: Health, Enemies, Terror, Rain, Beasts, War, Cannibalism, Cities, Land, Scattered, & Weakness
- Why? Not to take revenge! Instead it was to Breaks down their pride & hostility against God, to lead them back to Himself
- 40-45) But there is hope: They can be restored through confession & repentance

Leviticus 27: Commitments
- Various rules & laws about
things committed to God…
- - For things like Vows, Animals, Houses, Fields, & The Tithe
- Thus we have the end of Leviticus!
